Food Adventures: Cuban!

As many of you may know I have a STRONG relationship with FOOD! Yesterday during my lunch break, I was craving for Cuban food because well…I saw a video from Buzzfeed where the “Try Guys” were trying out Cuban food and their traditions lol! I personally have a cousin who is half Cuban and Guatemalan as well as a best friend who is Cuban and Puerto Rican so of course after seeing the video I would crave for Cuban food. If you have not watched the video I will link it down below after I talk about my experience in this amazing small Cuban restaurant. It is a small place but once you walk in you literally feel that you are in Cuba! the music, colorful decorations, and that smell of the food was everything! I ordered a jibarito with rice, Cuban coffee, and flan de coco! Here are the pictures:  Continue reading

Bumble & Bumble: Influenster

Being a member of Influenster is literally like Christmas! Yesterday when I got home from work, I had a box outside that Influenster sent me to review. This product is the Bumble & Bumble DrySpun Thickening Spray, and it worked amazing for me! Honestly, I am very picky when it comes down to sprays because my hair is super wavy, thick, and tends to be oily. However this helped control my hair which made it super easy for me to even style it.  The box came with a card and on the back it says:

Olay

Olay time! Have any of you tried the products that Olay has to offer? I actually have! Before going to Guatemala for my vacation I bought and became obsessed with this Ultra Moisture QUENCH from Olay. It makes my skin very soft, and my skin does not dry up quickly like it does with other brands. I love how it smells and the way how it is packaged! 76f9a0b6-bead-4710-ad43-ad7e04d80caf_1.a0afa60c0fec48761304754e8bbfb5b1.jpeg Continue reading

Beautiful Guatemala

2 weeks without posting, but now I am back!

Hey everyone!! Man oh man these 2 weeks flew by so quickly that I even lost track of the time! As some of you may have already known, I traveled to Guatemala to see my mothers side of the family. The fact that I have no idea when I will be returning hurts a little because my life is about to take flight…Literally! As I was over there I started to think about my childhood, and I thought “Man do I wish I can stop the time for just a few seconds.” Walking down the Rancho and going around where I used to play when I was little really hit me. I was walking down memory lane because half of my childhood is over there as well as in Colombia. I thought to myself, “what would happen if things were different?” I have done things that I regret at times. The only thing that keeps me up is knowing that everything has a purpose, and only God knows why my life is the way it is. I can’t complain being in the position where I am today because at the end of the day the Lord has me in his hands. Guatemala is a beautiful country and I am not joking when I tell you that you will feel right at home! From the food, culture, and music its relaxing to know that I have another home away from my real home. If I had one wish it would be to go back in time and hug all my loved ones I did not get to see this year. I did not spend time with all of them because of their work which is totally understandable. They all grew up and have a life of their own, but thanks to WhatsApp as well as messenger we all keep in touch. Now I would like to know where are you from? Is there a memory from your childhood that will always stick with you? Feel free to send me a message I would like to get to know more of you! I hope you guys have a wonderful day.

Déjà vu

Hey ya’ll! Have any of you ever had a dream that felt so real that when you wake up you think it happened the day before? Well, this happened to me today when I woke up. I was dreaming that I was in an event that I was leading, and when I woke up it felt like it was just yesterday. Honestly, it felt weird because the last time that I had a dream like this (as far as I can remember) was maybe two years ago. I started to think what if those dreams that seem so real actually did happen? Just think about it for a moment. What would you change in that dream to make it even better even if it was a nightmare? Sometimes I wonder how there are dreams that can usually tell the future, but you just don’t realize it. This is where the word Déjà vu comes along! The fact that you feel a certain event has occurred in your life (that you have seen before) is because you might have had a dream about it. When I was little I started having that experience of getting Déjà vu’s and it scared me! I remember that I was at a McDonalds with my mom, and because I did something that she didn’t like she yelled at me. The weird thing is that when it happened I looked at her blank because I could have sworn that happened before. I did not know how to explain it back then till I started having more Déjà vu’s  later on in life. Now I sometimes wished that I can dream more so I can see “the future” that “sorta” awaits for me. Dreams do come true….but if they were exactly like the dream then we can have the power to change it. What types of Déjà vu’s have you had? or what event in your life has happened that you have seen before? Feel free to share! I hope you all have an amazing day!

Super Stay: Maybelline

I received this in the mail about one week ago, and I am in love with these two shades! It stays on all day, and it does not transfer at all. I am not a matte type of lipstick fan because my lips dry quickly, and I saw that it worked for me if I put on lip balm first. It is not expensive at all and I would buy this again. I will do a YouTube video and show you guys later on. I got these products from influenster as a complimentary for testing purposes, but all opinions are my own.  #SuperStayMatteInk Continue reading

June 27 Golden Birthday!

Hey ya’ll!! okay so I know I am super late but I want to give thanks to my Lord almighty for granting me another year last month! I have been away for a bit because I am trying to enjoy every single second that life has to offer. My golden birthday was amazing! I have new stories to tell you guys as well as new food adventures. My transition to turning 27 hit me the day before my birthday. You see, turning 27 on the 27th on 2017 (yes, so many 7’s I know) was a really big deal for me. When I was little I never knew where exactly I was going to be at this age because it seemed very far away. I would just laugh at the thought of being almost close to 30 since I honestly did not think it through. There are so many things that happened in my life that I was even surprised turning the age that I am now today. My advice for all of you young people is to LIVE each moment like it was your last. Seek out adventure and do things you never thought you would ever do. Learn to love those who hate you because the best revenge is showing your enemy that you care for them. Learn to laugh at your own mistakes, take it as a lesson, and move on. Remember the good old days and appreciate your family and friends. Never regret one moment in your life because that moment is based on who you are. Last but not least ALWAYS follow your parents advice. I cannot tell you how many times I think about my parents whenever I do something because everything that they say comes true. Sometimes I even get scared when they tell me something because I know that the chances of it being real are….99% lol! So yeah….27….boy oh boy the journey has been tough but exciting…I cannot wait to see what this new year has in store for me. For all of you who have been asking when I will update: I AM BACK! I have more new things to share with all of you. Stay tuned!  Continue reading

Life = amazing!

Hello mi gente! It’s June in other words my birthday month! I have been away because life is just happening so fast. It’s amazing how when everything aligns in your life, and keep seeing the blessing of God it all makes sense in regards to everything you have to go through even tears. I am so excited to say that I am working at a prestigious hospital in regards to my major which I will say what it is later on, but at least you have a hint right now lol! Also, I am starting my own organization real soon which I am so excited to share it with all of you too! I just need to do a few phone calls, and get everything ready for a meeting I will be having. If everything goes well I’ll announce it and see how many of you are interested in what I will be doing. These past few weeks have been pretty darn crazy, and unbelievable because my dreams are coming true each step at a time. After so much that I have been though I feel like God has been rewarding me day after day. I’m planning to do reviews on some new products that I am loving this month which I will put it up this weekend. For my new people that are now subscribing to my blog: WELCOME! Whoever knows me I definitely follow back because I just love meeting new people, and looking at new content. Always remember to reach for your dreams don’t run…FLY!
